Dawn of the Dance Frankie

3 Mar

Where did February go?? Well, I suppose I can’t complain because as compensation for having yet another birthday, I got some great presents – the greatest of which was my long anticipated Secret Surprise from Mr Bat. This turned out to be Dawn of the Dance Frankie.

This year, Mr Bat informed me that he would not be taking birthday orders, thank you very much, as he had sorted a dolly present by himself. I suspected that it would be a Monster High doll (he is not a doll person, but I believe that he must secretly like MH because this is nearly always what he buys me) and although I tried to work out what it could be, I just couldn’t think. It seems that he read the comments on a post I wrote ages ago, where I was having a conversation about this doll.

I don’t do back catalogue Monster High very often, and this line was released just before I started collecting, but I have always coveted her. Dawn of the Dance dolls are incredibly popular on the reseller market, and now that I have got my hands on one, I can completely see why. Beautifully designed AND nicely put together with no factory flaws that I can see, this was how MH looked before they really started cranking up the mass production.

I also liked all the gubbins that came with this doll – its interesting that so much effort has gone in to setting the scene. We get a back story on the box:

We get some “photos”:

And (behind Frankie’s head in the picture below) we get a party invitation …

What a great present! She’s got to be one of my favourite Monster Highs so far. Thanks love xxx

He did indeed Blackitty 🙂 I think she’s a standout doll too (although as you’ve probably noticed, I’m a Frankie fan anyway)

How sweet of Mr Bat to present you such a gorgeous doll! And the research job give him even more points! As you already know she is my fave monster high ever produced, so what can I say? Enjoy your birthday, your presents and, above all, the loving people you are so lucky to have, Lea.
